Senior Legal Counsel

As Senior Legal Counsel at Equans, you work at the heart of major infrastructure and innovative projects, advising teams and securing every stage from tender to execution. You bring clear legal insight to activities that you see materialize around you every day.

Your work location: Brussels.

• analyze public and private tender documents during the tender phase and give practical advice in the execution phase
• draft, negotiate and follow up various agreements, including complex contracts, construction agreements, joint venture agreements, maintenance agreements and shareholders agreements
• give practical legal advice on diverse issues linked to Equans activities (contract law, obligations law, public procurement)
• follow up national disputes and claims involving Equans

• a master's degree in law
• at least 7-8 years of experience as a lawyer and/or as an in-house lawyer
• experience or interest in contract law, construction law, public procurement, and digital & carbon transition topics
• experience in negotiating complex contracts and transactions
• strong insight into the non-legal aspects of projects (commercial, financial, technical or strategic)
• solid communication and relationship-building skills
• a proactive, positive and pragmatic approach, open-minded attitude and ability to work autonomously and in a team
• fluent spoken and written Dutch and French
